Have ordered before from them without a problem, but this time was a nightmare. Ordered two books on 1-14-10, one shipping from TextbooksRus and the other from a marketplace seller-Cornerbookstores. On 1-18-10 I received an email that the book from Cornerbookstores had shipped but no tracking #. The same day I received an email from TextbooksRus that because of a computer mix up the book order coming from them had been cancelled. Imagine my surprise when I noticed a charge to my credit card from them had been captured, and then two days after the cancellation notice the charge was posted to my account. No explanation was ever given. It is a simple thing to take down the charge, but as of now (1-25-10) it is still up. Now I have to go through the dispute process with my credit card company. Why should I have to go through this. Seems to be their responsibility. Also, there seems to be no communication between TextbooksRus and their marketplace sellers since I have gotten conflicting inf
I would never order from them again and would advise anyone who values their time and money to shop anywhere else. They said that the order would be filled in 24-48 hrs. I paid for expedited shipping but a week later it had still not left the warehouse. Several calls and emails later they basically said FU and cancelled my order altogether. School has been in session, we have lost precious study time. They have no customer service, they are completely unresponsive. The only reason they got one star is because there was no option of minus 5 stars. They said that the books were no longer available but when I looked on the compare sites they still came up as available from them. I have spent several hours tonight reordering books from other vendors who promise to ship in 24 hrs and expedite the shipping. I am a 57 year old student with twin daughters in college as well. I have been buying books online for years and never had the nightmare that this bunch has been. They SUCK!
I paid extra for expedited shipping, which they list on their website as "1-3 business days." This left plenty of time for the book to arrive before my wife's first test. Instead, they took TWO WHOLE DAYS just to ship the book, and it took another two days to arrive. By then, my wife had already failed her first test because she didn't have the textbook necessary. I will never buy from them again!
I sent two books to site. after almost 7 weeks they claim only one book arrived. Impossible. I wrap any books i mail in plastic wrap then packing tape then brown paper. there is no way only one arrived. the one they claim to have gotten was the cheaper of the two. I had to buy confirmation numbers as it was not included in the shipping printout. (I doubt any books would have arrived if i hadnt) Post office reports they return all delivery confirmation packages if they are damaged. When i called textbooksrus they had an "oh well" attitude. Well what could i do? The book was "lost" in the mail. For all my effort i received a whole $1.30 for $98.00 worth of books. I wish i had checked on site first. seems i am not the only one with same problem!
I am not a person who just complains on any slight unpleasant transaction. But this company really have no consideration for their customers. We asked they simply sent an apology. Off course, I have to appreciate that they gave me a full refund for my order. But, as I know we all usually have only few days or may not have enough days left for our classes begin. It took almost 10 days after ordering a book at this company and did'nt receive I emailed them to check whats going on..and their respon
